Terms Description

Name Description
UMID Universal Marketing Identifier. The UMID is a unique but randomly generated UUID, which has a one to one relationship with customer identifiers (CRM IDs) and can be used across clients / devices, if the device has been identified via common customer identifier.
UMDID Universal Marketing Device Identifier. The UMDID is a unique but randomly generated 100 bytes long string, which should always be linked to a UMID and is client / device specific. For example an identified customer with two devices would have two UMDIDs linked to one UMID. The UMDID is set as UMDID cookie and can also be passed on as query string parameter.
Pipeline Pipelines are client specific and provide control to the client to define what IDs and parameters are used and how they are passed on.
